The Long Shot: Bows Arrive

A second way to fight. Bows and slings hit from across the clearing instead of nose to nose, but they ask for things a sword never did: arrows in your quiver, a full second of standing still, and a clear line to whatever you are aiming at. Let something walk up to you and your own bow turns against you. Duels are now fought on your feet as well, and every weapon in the game now wears down from fighting, not just from mining.

The Raid: Boss Battles Reforged

Boss battles are no longer a tapping contest. You send your character in with potions and a hot meal and the fight resolves itself round by round, whether you are watching or not. What you earn comes down to the gear you brought, not how fast your finger is. Pull fallen fighters back onto their feet with your own potions, take titles for what you actually did, and let the whole realm hear when a raid is called.

The Turning Year

The seasons were scenery. Now they are weather you have to plan around. Four seasons turn with the world clock and each one changes what the land will give you: fish run fat in summer and thin under the frost, the groves swell in autumn, the ore seams run rich in winter. Ashwing has learned to breathe fire, and the caves now hold you for a full hour instead of fifteen minutes.

Brothers in Arms: The Co-op Update

Fight together for the first time. Combat is rebuilt from the ground up: no more one-on-one duels with a mob while your friend watches, every weapon swings at its own speed, and threat decides who the monster hunts. Form a party of five, share XP, and hunt Ashwing the Dragon, a world mini boss who lands once a day and rewards everyone who fights. Plus goblins in the fields, a one hour clock on the caves, and a long list of fixes.

World Events: The Realm Turns

The world itself now turns. Eight world events reshape the land's bounty while they hold: floods that drown the coal seams, gold veins that run double rich, forests that surge, shoals that empty. Every event gives with one hand and takes with the other, announced by a warning horn across the whole server and shown on your character panel while it lasts.

The Ranch: Hatch, Breed, Trade

A whole new system. Sixteen beasts across four kins, eggs that drop from everything you already play, pens that produce daily, a six-stat breeding line with real inheritance, rarity climbing through ascension, and a marketplace where a perfect bloodline sells for hundreds. Every one of the six stats now does something real — your follower gives you speed, crits, loot luck and evasion, and comes with you into caves. Breeding costs energy and time instead of dollars.

The Forge: From Raw Ore to Gear Worth Selling

A complete crafting walkthrough: the ingot smelting chain from Copper to Dragon Glass, the three-system resin chain, planks, forge acceleration, and the bottleneck materials that decide what your gear is worth.

Quest log: on this page

Everything valuable in TerraX passes through the Forge. Raw ore is nearly worthless on its own; smelted into ingots it becomes gear, and gear is what sells. The Forge is also where the economy's real bottlenecks live, and understanding them is the difference between crafting at a loss and crafting things other players queue up to buy. Starting a forge costs 10 energy. Here is how the whole chain works.

The Ingot Chain

Smelting follows a strict ladder, and each rung needs the rungs below it. A Copper Ingot takes 175 Copper and 250 Coal and forges in 6 minutes. Iron needs 500 Iron, 750 Coal and 150 Copper over 12 minutes. Silver takes 30 minutes, Gold a full hour at 1,500 Gold, 2,500 Coal, 400 Silver and 150 Iron. Adamantium runs 2 hours, and the summit, the Dragon Glass Ingot, consumes 10,000 Dragon Glass, 12,000 Coal, 1,000 Adamantium and 400 Gold across 4 hours. Notice what every recipe shares: Coal. It appears in nearly every smelt in the game, which is why floor one of the mines never stops being useful no matter how deep your workers dig.

Resins: The Three-System Recipe

Resins are the clearest example of how TerraX forces its systems to talk to each other. A Low Grade Resin takes 1 Low Grade Sap and 50 Balsa Logs from harvesting, plus 3 Low Grade Fish Oils from fishing. High Grade Resin scales that up to 6 High Grade Fish Oils and 100 Blackwood Logs over an hour. No single activity produces a resin. You either run mining, harvesting and fishing yourself, or you buy the missing pieces on the market from players who do. Either way, someone gets paid.

Planks and the Wood Ladder

Wood follows its own ladder from Balsa Planks, which take just 20 logs and half an hour, up to Snakewood Planks at 80 Snakewood Logs and 20 High Grade Resins over 8 hours. Since resins need fishing and harvesting, high-tier planks quietly depend on three gathering systems at once. Snakewood is also a Legendary-tier material, so the log supply itself is scarce. If you have harvesting workers deep in the groves, planks are one of the most reliable things to sell.

The Weapons Ladder: Where Ingots Go to Become Damage

Follow the materials one step further and you reach the reason anyone smelts at all. The weapons ladder starts humble: a Warstick from 30 Copper Ingots hits for 5, a Shortsword from 50 Iron Ingots hits for 14. By mid-game the recipes start reaching across systems, like the Wardens Flail, which wants 40 Carapace from dungeons alongside 70 Silver Ingots. And at the top, the recipes become expeditions in themselves. The Obsidian Greataxe, the hardest hitting weapon in the game at 110 damage, demands 80 Snakewood Planks, 50 Dragon Glass Ingots, 50,000 Coal and a Heart of Syrak, an artefact that only drops from a world boss. Fourteen days of forge time, materials from five systems, one weapon. That is the whole economy in a single recipe.

Repair, Scrap, or Sell?

Gear wears out, and the Forge gives you three exits. Repairing costs roughly a tenth of the original recipe and resets durability, which is almost always right for a weapon you use. Scrapping returns about half the core materials, which is right for gear you have outgrown, especially pieces whose recipe included an artefact, since the artefact comes back. Selling works when the market pays more than the scrap value, which it often does for freshly forged gear other players want but cannot yet build. Check all three prices before you decide. Crafters who treat old gear as raw material never really lose the materials they spent.

The Bottlenecks That Set Prices

A few materials decide the price of everything above them. Coal, because every smelt eats it in bulk. Water, because it only comes from fishing and the idle systems drink it constantly. Ingredients like Herbs, Carrots and Walnuts, because cooking and idle expeditions compete for the same drops, and Walnuts are the rarest of the lot. Dungeon materials, because the chain from Goblin Hide up through Carapace and Druid Flesh to Soul Eye only drops in dungeons. And at the very top, artefacts from world boss events, which cannot be farmed at all and gate epic and legendary weapon recipes. When you see a gear listing that looks expensive, it is usually one of these bottlenecks doing the pricing.

Acceleration and When to Use It

Long forges can be accelerated for 50,000 currency per minute skipped. That is rarely worth it for a Copper Ingot, and often worth it when a 4-hour Dragon Glass smelt is the last piece of a weapon you already have a buyer for. Treat acceleration like any other cost in the recipe: include it in your price or skip it.

Armour: Forging Your Own Luck

Weapons get the glory, but armour recipes hide the cleverest stats in the game. Every set covers four slots, helmet, breastplate, gauntlets and sabatons, and each set carries a modifier that stacks across pieces. The forgeable Copper set gives +11% bonus drop luck while mining across the full set. The Iron set gives +22% dungeon drop luck. Deeper in, sets like Aetherguard trade luck for a flat 20% damage reduction, and specialist sets exist for production accounts too: the Artisan Blacksmith set cuts forge times and the Artisan Chef set cuts cook times. Armour is where you tune what kind of player you are. A miner in mining-luck armour and a dungeon runner in drop-luck armour are both playing the odds, just in different rooms.

The Other Fire: Cooking

The Forge has a sibling, and serious crafters run both. Cooking stations turn fishing and harvesting ingredients into the consumables the whole server needs: stews that boost mining damage and luck, Health and Energy Potions, and at the top of the recipe book, Calvins Juicy Meat, a five-day cook that permanently adds 5 HP to whoever eats it. Permanent stats do not go out of fashion, which makes that one dish a perpetual seller. You can run up to 5 cooking stations and 5 forges as you unlock slots, and an account with both fires burning around the clock is a small factory. The players who dominate the market rarely have the best gear. They have the best production schedule.

Forging for Profit

The market rewards crafters who climb one rung above what most players can reach. Everyone can make Copper Ingots, so margins live higher up the ladder where the recipe needs materials from three systems and days of forge time. Check what gear is moving on the market, work out the full material cost including the bottleneck items, and forge what clears that bar. The Forge never sleeps, and neither does demand.

Archery Arrives, and It Rewards the Patient

A bow is not a sword that reaches further. It asks you to stand perfectly still before it will loose a single arrow, and it punishes you brutally for letting anything close the distance.
